Section 21 Process
In South Africa, it is now fully legal to purchase cannabis flower with a doctor’s prescription. The only 100% legal access pathway is through a prescription approved by SAHPRA as an unregistered medicine under Section 21 of the Medicines Act, with the product dispensed through a licensed pharmacy.

A virtual doctor's appointment will be arranged for you by UncleRooneys.
If the doctor concludes that a cannabis product is an appropriate treatment they will submit an application to SAHPRA on your behalf.
A fee of R1200 is payable directly to the doctor post the appointment.
To note: R700 of the above fee is allocated to your application and will be discounted upon your first order of cannabis product.

Once submitted, SAHPRA approves your prescription (and supporting documentation) and issues a Section 21 approval letter, which contains the name of the doctor, the name of the patient and the prescribed medicinal product.
Estimated time of approval is 48 hours.

You will be notified once your prescription is approved. At this time you are able to legally order your cannabis product.

Upon receipt of order, an invoice for your medicinal cannabis product (including the discount of R700) will be sent to you by the pharmacy prior to delivery to you door.

Once the invoice is paid, your cannabis product will be sent from our allocated dispensing doctor, to your door.
